Rangers are reportedly keen on midfielder Khalid Aucho.

Gor Mahia secretary Ronald Ngala has told the Daily National in Kenya that whilst he is aware that Rangers want midfielder Khalid Aucho, there has been no official contact between the two clubs.
Aucho, 22, has notched 16 caps for Uganda, and is currently playing for Gor Mahia in Kenya after spells with Simba and Tusker – but he could be on the verge of a huge move.
Reports from African Football last suggested that Aucho had received some interest from Rangers, who are looking for new signings ahead of their return to the Scottish Premiership.
Mark Warburton may have already landed four new midfielders this summer, but Aucho confirmed to Goal that he has received an approach from the Gers – and he has a huge interest in making the move to Ibrox.
A midfielder who has been compared to former Celtic ace Victor Wanyama, Aucho could become just the second Ugandan player to play in Scotland, after David Obua, formerly of Hearts – but Rangers appear to have some work to do to secure a deal.
Gor Mahia secretary Ronald Ngala has spoken to Kenyan newspaper the Daily National, and whilst he admitted that he is aware of interest from Rangers in signing Aucho, there have been no officials talks about a transfer just yet.
Ngala added that Frank Nuttall, who worked as a fitness coach for Rangers in the mid-2000’s before managing Gor Mahia, is believed to be the man who recommended Aucho to the Gers, but they face competition from clubs all over the world for Aucho’s signature.
“I have information about this interest (from Rangers) but there has been no official contact between the two clubs,” said Ngala. “I am told our former coach (Frank Nuttall) might have something to do with this development which is okay. There are also several clubs in South Africa, the Middle East and Eastern Europe courting the boy, but he is still contracted to us,” he added.
