The Gor Mahia manager, Dylan Kerr, has launched a scathing defence of his side’s 4-0 friendly defeat at Everton on Tuesday.

The Kenyan champions were beaten by a strong Everton side, whose goals came from Ademola Lookman, Kieran Dowell, Nathan Broadhead and Oumar Niasse.

Despite that, one Gor Mahia fan tweeted his embarrassment at the result – stating the Toffees’ side was “beatable”, while his was simply “afraid of the name”.

And after an Evertonian replied saying: “You were never going to beat an everton under 21s tbf”, Kerr hit back, tweeting: “(Y)es a net worth of 100 million u p****”

Of those who featured for Everton, five cost the Toffees in excess of £10 million, with Yerry Mina, Morgan Schneiderlin and Cenk Tosun weighing in above the £20 million mark.

Kerr, an Englishman who played for Sheffield Wednesday and Leeds United at the start of his career, took over at Gor Mahia in 2017 and led them to the title earlier this year.
