Gary Lineker has taken to Twitter to react after seeing footage of Liverpool target Kylian Mbappe causing havoc alongside Lionel Messi.

Mbappe shows Liverpool what they could have

Well, talk of the 23-year-old moving to Liverpool has intensified in recent weeks, after a number of French media outlets claimed that the France international wants to leave PSG.

One of those outlets was El Pais, who state that Mbappe’s uncle believes a move to Anfield would be a sensible next step, and the PSG No.7 will listen to that advice if Jürgen Klopp comes calling.

Now, the £166m man has left Lineker in awe after providing a phenomenal assist for Messi, as PSG recorded a 3-0 win over Ajaccio in Ligue 1 last night.

You can see footage of Mbappe and the Argentina international running riot below, as well as the BBC Match of the Day host’s reaction.

This delightful assist wasn’t the only thing Mbappe did against Ajaccio.

The French superstar also scored twice in the 3-0 win, taking his tally for the season to 14 goals in just 15 appearances.

Mbappe has also provided two assists.

Liverpool could sign Mbappe

In our view, Klopp could sign Mbappe if he wanted to.

Football finance expert Mo Chatra has claimed that the money is there after a few quiet windows for Liverpool, with the general feeling on Merseyside being that the Reds have been saving up for Jude Bellingham.

Therefore, if Mbappe himself pushes for a move to Liverpool – which he seems ready to do after his uncle’s advice – Klopp could forgo a move for Bellingham and put that money towards a deal for the PSG superstar instead.

Of course, Bellingham is probably more necessary for Liverpool given the problems in their midfield department, but if a realistic opportunity to sign Mbappe arises, the Reds simply cannot ignore it.
