Charlie Patino has delivered an update after more than a month on the sidelines, confirming that he is back in Arsenal training after an injury. The midfielder has endured some bad luck with injuries this season.
Earlier on in the campaign, 18-year-old Patino suffered an ankle injury not long after making his first-team debut under Mikel Arteta. He started against Nottingham Forest in the Carabao Cup, lasting 69 minutes.
It saw him sidelined for a few weeks, before returning to action at the end of November. He then made his second senior Arsenal outing, scoring in a 5-1 win over Sunderland in the Carabao Cup – as a late substitute.
However, since early January, Patino has been in the treatment room due to injury. But after a couple of months on the sidelines, the England Under-19 international has returned to training which will be good news for Arsenal.

Patino injury update: Arsenal midfielder’s return could be crucial
The Gunners lack options in the middle of the park, especially those that can go past a man with the ball at his feet. Granit Xhaka’s form has been up and down, Mo Elneny and Albert Lokonga are more defensively minded.
Having Patino on the bench for the remaining few matches will aid his development, as he continues to shine in the 23’s – but it also gives Arsenal another ball-playing midfielder to count upon from the bench.
