Speaking on the Premier League’s YouTube channel, Sergio Reguilon has named Mohamed Salah as one of the toughest players he’s ever come up against.
Reguilon was answering fan questions for the Premier League, and inevitably, he was asked who the toughest opponent he’s ever faced is.
Interestingly, the first name that came to Reguilon’s mind was Manchester City’s Riyad Mahrez, but as you can imagine, Salah got a mention from the Spaniard.
What’s Reguilon said about Salah?
The full-back named the Egyptian as one of the best players he’s come up against.
“There are a lot of good players. Salah is one,” Reguilon said.
“Salah is a tough one as well, he’s probably one of the best wingers in the world right now,” The host added.
“Yes, the best wingers in the world are in the Premier League I think,” Reguilon concluded.

Not surprising
It’s not all that surprising to hear Salah mentioned in this context.
Reguilon had his battles with the Egyptian last season, but, perhaps fortunately for the Spaniard, he’s not had to face off against him this season.
Indeed, Ryan Sessegnon started for Spurs against Liverpool earlier this term, and given Salah’s form this season, Reguilon may be glad that he didn’t have to face the Liverpool star.
Unfortunately, Reguilon may not be able to avoid playing against Salah in May, and if the Egyptian is at his best, he may well overtake Riyad Mahrez as Reguilon’s toughest opponent.
