Some Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to speculation linking the club with Newcastle United winger Allan Saint-Maximin.
According to The Daily Mail, Tottenham have expressed an interest in signing Saint-Maximin from Premier League rivals Newcastle in the summer transfer window.
It has been reported that Spurs are willing to pay cash and include Danny Rose – currently on loan at Newcastle – and Juan Foyth in the transfer.
Stats
According to WhoScored, Saint-Maximin has scored three goals and provided four assists in 22 Premier League matches, and scored one goal in four FA Cup ties for Newcastle this campaign, according to WhoScored.
Good signing for Tottenham Hotspur?
Saint-Maximin is a very good winger who has done well for Newcastle this season.
Given that the Frenchman is only 23 years of age at the moment, he will improve in the coming years and will add more consistency to his game.
However, Tottenham do have quite a few attack-minded and wide players, and unless one of them is sold, it is hard to see how head coach Jose Mourinho will be able to accommodate the Newcastle winger into his team.
