Speaking on Soccer AM’s YouTube channel, Aleksandar Mitrovic has been waxing-lyrical about Fulham loanee and Tottenham target Joachim Andersen.
Andersen has been heavily linked with a move to Spurs this summer, with some journalists even claiming that he’s actually chosen the north London club as the side he wants to join this summer.
Andersen may have been relegated with Fulham this season, but Mitrovic maintains that he’s a brilliant footballer.
What’s he said?
The Serbian was full of praise for his Fulham teammate after naming him as the best defender at the club.
“Yeah, he’s a good guy, he’s a good player and he’s improved our team a lot, especially defensively. He has quality on the ball as well, and he’s a threat from set-pieces as well, so yeah, he’s a good player,” Mitrovic said.
Perfect for Spurs
Tottenham need a centre-back who is quality on the ball and great from set-pieces, and Mitrovic seems to think Andersen fits the bill.
The Dane is a superb defender, and while Fulham have gone down, it wasn’t their poor defensive showings that let them down.
Indeed, the Whites actually weren’t all that bad at the back, but scoring just nine goals at home all season certainly didn’t help their cause when it came to surviving in this division.
Sadly for Fulham, Andersen won’t be sticking around in the Championship, but if rumours are to be believed, their loss could be Tottenham’s gain.
