Over the past 24 hours bookmakers have slashed their odds on Alan Pardew becoming the next Leeds United manager, with Sky Bet now offering 5/1.
This makes him the third favourite alongside Aitor Karanka and behind Claudio Ranieri (3/1) and Pep Clotet (7/4) in the running for who will be given the job.

Leeds have been on the hunt for a new boss since the departure of Garry Monk at the end of the 2016/17 season and several names have been linked with the Yorkshire club since.
Pardew has been out of a job since being sacked by Crystal Palace in December, but does have a decent record at Championship level.

The 55-year-old has earned promotion from England’s second tier with both Reading and West Ham United in the past and was also named LMA Manager of the Year in 2012 after guiding Newcastle United to fifth in the Premier League.
As expected, though, there has been a mixed response from Leeds fans over the rumours that Pardew will be taking charge at Elland Road.
