Some Liverpool fans on Twitter are delighted with the news about Diogo Jota.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has told the club’s official website that Jota could be available for the Premier League game against Sheffield United this weekend.

The 24-year-old Portugal international winger is training with his Liverpool teammates and could make his first appearance since December 2020 when he suffered a knee injury.

Klopp told the club’s official website: “Diogo trained now twice with the team, looks very good – very good. But [he] was out long term so we have to see what we can do with that. But in training he looks really promising.”

Some Liverpool fans have given their take on the news about Jota, and below are some of the best comments on Twitter.

Big boost for Liverpool

Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah are superb attacking players, but Liverpool manager Klopp does need options on the substitutes’ bench.

The 24-year-old was playing well before he got injured, and the 2020 summer signing from Wolverhampton Wanderers will be massive for the defending Premier League champions in the coming weeks and months.

According to WhoScored, Jota has scored five goals in nine Premier League appearances and has scored four goals in six Champions League games for Liverpool so far this season.

The winger will hope to play a big role in Liverpool’s quest to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season and win the Champions League.
