Leeds United fans enjoyed hearing that Mateusz Klich was serenaded in the warm-up last night.

Appreciation shown

Klich has suffered a difficult week at Leeds after giving away a penalty against Chelsea on Saturday.

He was forced to delete his Twitter account after the amount of criticism that he received online.

Leeds fans wanted to show Klich just how loved he is at Elland Road last night, though.

They immediately started singing songs for the Polish international, who was quick to show his appreciation to the travelling support at the Etihad Stadium.

It was a touch of class from the match going Leeds fans, and something which Whites supporters enjoyed hearing about before the game.

Highlight of the night

Unfortunately that show of solidarity really was the highlight of the night for Leeds.

They suffered a 7-0 defeat to City, after their injury depleted side was heavily outplayed.

Klich came on to the pitch sooner than expected as well, with Jamie Shackleton suffering a problem in the first-half.

Klich was no worse than any other Leeds player yesterday, but he struggled to really get involved against a relentless City side.

The defeat means that Leeds are now sat in 16th place in the Premier League table, and are just five points above the drop zone.
