Nottingham Forest’s Britt Assombalonga celebrates scoring their fourth goal
Nottingham Forest manager Philippe Montanier has confirmed when Britt Assombalonga will be back from injury – as reported by the official Nottingham Forest website.
Forest threw away a good first half performance today against Bristol City. They ended up losing the game 2-1 despite leading through a well taken goal from Greek striker Apostolos Vellios.
The front-man has been tasked with getting the goals for Forest recently after the injury to star striker Assombalonga.
The striker, who spent over a year on the sidelines with a knee injury, has been out of action with a mystery injury since August and Forest fans have been fearing the worst about their main goal threat.

But Forest boss Montanier, who also confirmed Hildeberto Pereira has a hamstring problem, suggested that the striker should be back in action after the international break:
“Hildeberto Pereira picked up a hamstring injury in training yesterday and that ruled him out of today’s game.
“But he will be back after the international break and we expect Britt Assombalonga to come back as well.”
Assombalonga’s importance to the Forest cause is clear, with three goals in three appearances for the club so far this season.
Vellios has been impressive recently and Nicklas Bendtner has arrived but Forest are still missing the raw ability that Assombalonga possesses.
Hopefully this is not another false dawn for their star striker.
