Some Leeds United fans have responded to Kalvin Phillips’s post on Twitter.
Phillips has taken to Twitter to express his disappointment at missing out on the recent England squad.
The 24-year-old midfielder is on the sidelines at the moment with a shoulder injury and will not be in action for the Three Lions.
Phillips is disappointed that he will not don on the colours of England, but some Leeds fans are pleased that he is not on international duty this month, as shown below on Twitter.
Positive for Leads United
Playing for one’s country is the greatest honour one could have in one’s footballing career, and Phillips’s disappointment at missing out is understandable.
However, given his shoulder injury and his importance to the Leeds team, it is positive for the Premier League club that he is not involved.
Phillips can recover from his injury and perhaps return to action for Marcelo Bielsa’s side after the two-week international break.
The 24-year-old has played four times for England so far in his career, and his performances have been very encouraging.
