Abdul-Basit Agouda is a reported transfer targets for the Whites, according to Scouts Attending, who listed Leeds as one of the clubs who sent scouts to watch the 18-year-old in action for Noway’s under-18 match against Finland, and the west Yorkshire club have received a massive boost in their pursuit of the youngster today, when he told Drammens Tidende that he has no intention of extending his current deal with Stromsgodset IF.
Thomas Christiansen is currently in the midst of a really troublesome spell in charge at Elland Road, with his side losing six of their last seven Championship outings.

The Whites currently sit in 10th spot in the table and are undoubtedly in need of an injection of pace and youthful exuberance, as they look to kick on when their Championship duties resume again next week.
And whilst they would not be able to sign the Norwegian youngster just yet, their hopes of doing so somewhere down the line have received a major boost today, when he told Drammens Tidende that he would not be extending his deal with his current club when it expires in December:
“I’ve said I don’t want to extend. I will consider other possibilities. I would love to receive more than a few minutes. It is not easy to show what you can do in such a short time.”

The 18-year-old possesses pace in abundance, and plays with a certain kind of maturity that defies his tender years.
Although he is somewhat of an unknown quantity, he would would certainly offer the west Yorkshire outfit something totally different to what they currently possess in forward areas.
Only time will tell if Leeds are successful in bringing Agouda to Elland Road, but judging by his comments, their task has been made that little bit easier.
