Tim Sherwood has said on Sky Sports News that Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are not missing Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk because of the form of Leandro Trossard in the January transfer window.
The former Tottenham Hotspur manager believes that Trossard was a brilliant signing for Arsenal in the middle of the season..
The Sky Sports pundit thinks that Mudryk has been a good miss for the Gunners.
As reported by ESPN, Arsenal wanted to sign the Ukraine international winger in the January transfer window, but it was London and Premier League rivals Chelsea who were able to get him from Shakhtar Donetsk.
The 22-year-old winger has failed to make a huge impact at the Blues since his move in January.
Mudryk has made three starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Chelsea.
The winger has not scored a goal and has provided one assist.
Tim Sherwood on Arsenal and Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk
Sherwood said, as transcribed by TCC: “Recruitment has been brilliant. To bring in Trossard… I mean he knows the Premier League inside out, he can hit the floor running, know exactly what he’s going to get…
“Mudryk looks like a good miss [for Arsenal] at the moment.”

One for the future
Leandro Trossard is 28 now and is at the top of his game.
And the winger has extensive Premier League experience.
So, we are not surprised at all that Trossard has been able to make an immediate impact at Arsenal.
The former Brighton and Hove Albion star could play a big role in their quest to win the Premier League title this season.
However, Mudryk could well turn out to be a better player than Trossard in the long run.
After all, he is only 22 now and will only grow and develop in the coming years.
