Reported Leeds United and Tottenham target Eberechi Eze has admitted that it is a ‘good feeling’ to be named Queens Park Rangers’ Players Player of the Year for 2019/20, while speaking to the club’s official website.

Given that the one-time Arsenal youngster has firmly established himself as one of the most gifted English footballers in an era full of exciting homegrown talent, it is no surprise that Eze is valued as highly within the walls at Loftus Road as he is from the outside.

The London-born U21 international once again showcased his sublime technical ability to whip a 14th goal of the season into the top corner during a 2-2 draw with West Brom on Wednesday.

And, in the aftermath, The Sun reported that Marcelo Bielsa, a man who knows a thing or two about making rough diamonds shine and twinkle, had told Leeds that the £20 million Eze is right at the top of his summer wishlist.

The Sun claimed in March that Tottenham are also interested, while West Ham boss David Moyes is also a huge fan (Standard).

If Eze has played his final game in QPR colours, it is fair to say he has signed off in style with the Players’ Player of the Year award a deserved prize for a season full of exhilarating performances.

“Winning these awards is a good feeling and really it’s testament to what we have been doing all season,” he told www.qpr.co.uk.

“What’s really pleased me the most is the way that we have tried to play the game,” Eze explained.

“With the gaffer (Mark Warburton) coming in and what he is looking to do has made it a lot easier for players like me, Bright (Osayi-Samuel) and Ilias (Chair) to do the stuff we want to do.”

Warburton’s attacking, free-flowing football has certainly helped Eze flourish.

And if he wants to keep playing in a team set up to suit his play-making strengths, then who better than Bielsa’s Leeds?
