Everton director of football Marcel Brands is reportedly looking to bring a host of South Americans to Goodison Park this summer.

Brands feels that his knowledge of the South American market could help the Toffees, as they search for talent.
And River Plate midfielder Martinez would certainly fit the criteria of player Brands is looking at add.
Martinez is not well known in England, having only previously played in South America throughout his career.

The attacking midfielder has been in wonderful form in Argentina, where he has proven a very productive source of both goals and assists for River Plate.
The 25-year-old hit seven goals and claimed four assists in 25 appearances last term, and is said to only be valued at £13 million.
And Martinez’s arrival at Everton could open the door for an influx of other South American additions at Goodison Park, as it would be proof that the Toffees are backing Brands’ transfer plan.
