Ade Oladipo has been speaking about Liverpool and Darwin Nunez on talkSPORT as the Reds prepare to welcome Leeds to Anfield.
The 39-year-old tipped the Uruguay international to cause havoc in the Premier League clash against Jesse Marsch’s men tonight, while also making an interesting claim involving Thierry Henry.
Nunez backed to shine for Liverpool against Leeds
Well, after scoring a stunning header in the 3-0 win over Ajax, the £140,000-a-week striker has been tipped to cause some “damage” to Jesse Marsch and Leeds tonight.
Oladipo told talkSPORT: “He’s built for the Premier League, physically very strong. He’s probably the fastest player I’ve seen since Henry, he’s so fast! Left foot, right foot, watch him against Leeds, I think he’s gonna do some damage.”
We can’t help but agree.
Nunez has four goals in his last five games across all competitions, and even when he isn’t scoring, his overall play just seems to cause chaos in opposition backlines.

The one thing Liverpool’s No.27 can be accused of is a lack of consistency, although he has often missed the next game after scoring due to a slight injury.
However, with Leeds conceding 18 goals in just 11 Premier League games so far this season, Nunez has a fantastic opportunity to make it five goals in six games for himself tonight if he is fit to play.
Liverpool need to beat Leeds
It goes without saying, but it is vital for Liverpool to pick up three points tonight after losing 1-0 to Nottingham Forest last week.
That defeat at the City Ground killed plenty of enthusiasm around Liverpool after the stunning 1-0 win over Manchester City the week before, and momentum needs to be built up to leave the Reds in a good position before the World Cup.
Should Jürgen Klopp manage to record a few wins on the bounce, it could set Liverpool up for a strong second half of the campaign after the World Cup, when key players such as Diogo Jota and Luis Diaz are set to return.
Hopefully, Liverpool and Nunez will get the job done against Leeds tonight.
