Some Liverpool fans on social media have been reacting after The Athletic reported that Harvey Barnes is set to sign a new contract at Leicester.
The Reds have apparently been big admirers of Barnes for quite some time now, but this news is a blow to their chances of landing the England international.
It seems as though Liverpool fans were quite keen to see Barnes sign for the Reds, and they’ve taken to social media to express their disappointment after seeing this rumour.
To be honest, we can understand where they’re coming from. Barnes seems like a player ready-made for Jurgen Klopp, and he would have been an exceptional signing.
It’s hard to not get your hopes up when you’re linked with a player as good as Barnes, but sadly for Liverpool supporters, Barnes looks set to stay at the King Power Stadium for a little while yet.
