Tottenham Hotspur fans have taken to Twitter to react to speculation about Nikola Milenkovic still being a transfer target in North London.
According to Calciomercato, Tottenham manager Antonio Conte is an admirer of the Fiorentina central defender and with the January window approaching, the Lilywhites are ‘in the background’.
The Premier League outfit were linked with the signing of Milenkovic during the summer, when Nuno Espirito Santo was manager.
However, a renewed effort this winter seems very probable.

It seems entirely plausible, indeed.
Tottenham will be without Cristian Romero until 2022 due to a hamstring injury and even now, there is no concrete return date for the Argentina international.
Eric Dier has proven himself a revelation under the Italian manager but Conte’s other two options – Joe Rodon and Davinson Sanchez – are less reliable.
In short, there’s genuinely every chance that Tottenham could look to sign another centre-back once the transfer window opens and with Conte seemingly a fan of Milenkovic, well this story perhaps has legs.
