Some Leeds United fans have taken to Twitter to give their reaction to comments from Rodrigo about Manchester United.
Leeds will play in the Premier League next season for the first time since 2004 after winning automatic promotion from the Championship at the end of the 2019-20 campaign.
The Whites are massive rivals with Premier League and European giants United, and the two games against the Red Devils in the league calendar would be massive.
Rodrigo, who can operate as a winger or as a striker, recently joined Leeds from Valencia in the summer transfer window.
The Spain international has said that he is looking forward to playing against United and his compatriot and international teammate David de Gea.
Rodrigo has also said that he is excited to get started for Leeds right after the international break.
Rodrigo told The Yorkshire Evening Post: “I want to arrive Monday and start to train with the team and adapt myself as soon as possible to the style of the team and give my best, work hard.”
The Spaniard added: “We always want to play against Liverpool, Tottenham, Man City, but for me the special game is Manchester United. I played against them with Benfica and Valencia.
“Playing against my national team mate De Gea will be special for me, I have a great relationship with him and I already scored some goals against him in training so I can say [I’m looking forward to playing against] him.”
