Things don’t look good for Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian.

The Spaniard joined the Reds on a free transfer in the summer of 2019 after being released by West Ham United.

He was originally understudy to Brazilian star Alisson.

But now it looks like Adrian has slipped down the pecking order to be Jurgen Klopp’s third-choice option between the sticks at Liverpool.

Klopp made a huge decision to bench Adrian and go with 22-year-old rookie Caoimhin Kelleher for last night’s visit of Ajax in the Champions League.

It was a pretty damning indication that Klopp no longer trusts the former West Ham stopper.

And with January on the horizon, some Liverpool fans believe that the 33-year-old might struggle to see February on Merseyside after last night’s snub.

Here’s what some supporters are saying on Twitter:

Adrian, who earns £55,000 per week with the Premier League champions, has had a difficult and error-laden 2020.

With Alisson not being the most reliable goalkeeper around in terms of fitness, Klopp really needs a quality number two and it just doesn’t seem like there’s much confidence that Adrian can do a stellar job each and everytime he needs to cover the former Roma man.
