Leeds United may perhaps be delighted by the news that Goncalo Guedes has completed his move to Valencia.

It may be more than 17 years since Leeds felt that they needed to take much of an interest in what was going on at Valencia, but perhaps the Whites should feel delighted with the news that has just emerged out of the La Liga side over the last few hours.
Los Che have announced on their official website that they have completed a deal to sign Goncalo Guedes from Paris Saint-Germain following his superb loan spell in Spain last season. Goal reports that the fee involved in the deal is around £36.2 million.
And based on recent reports emerging from the country, it would appear that Guedes’ return to the Mestalla is fantastic news for Leeds as they look to capitalise on their superb start to the new Championship season.
Marcelo Bielsa’s men top the second tier after five games and are playing some of the most exciting football in the country, and one of the most important players this term is undoubtedly proving to be Samuel Saiz.

Saiz was sensational during the early stages of last season before tailing off – like many of his teammates – but he appears to be back to his best this year. And that form prompted Valencia to take a look this summer.
It was always going to take something seriously special to tempt Leeds into selling their magician, but El Gol Digital recently suggested that Valencia may be tempted to try and tempt him back to Spain before the deadline.
Crucially however, the report suggested Valencia’s interest in Saiz was dependent on whether they managed to sign Guedes from PSG, so it would appear that Marcelino’s men will abandon any plans to target the Leeds ace now that Guedes has returned.
