Danny Rose should resist an opportunity to leave Tottenham for Manchester City.

Rose saw teammate Kyle Walker leave in the summer to join Manchester City, who currently sit five points above Spurs at the top of the league.
Manchester City had no need for Rose – until this week, when left-back Benjamin Mendy suffered an injury.
BBC Sport reported that Mendy has a ruptured ACL and will undergo surgery today.

Manager Pep Guardiola says he intends to explore the opportunity to sign another left-back, and Rose would surely be tempted to join pal Walker in Manchester.
Spurs have coped well without Rose due to his injury, and the chance to land a Walker-esque £50m plus fee could also tempt chairman Daniel Levy.
For the left-back, he could double his wages and arguably give himself a greater shot of winning the title.

The short-term gain however could be short lived from a footballing perspective.
Rose may have a chance to establish himself in the City team this season, but when Mendy returns from injury it could be a very different matter.
City have high hopes for the former Monaco ace, and he is four years younger than Rose.
If Rose feels he faces a genuine threat from Ben Davies for his Tottenham position then he may feel it is worth the jump, but for potential short term gain at City, a departure from North London could be a move he regrets and turn out to be a mistake.
