Fredy Guarin has been left stranded at Inter and there are reports that three English clubs are ready to offer him a way out.
After his move to Juventus collapsed at the eleventh hour, Inter midfielder Fredy Guarin has been in limbo with an uncertain future.
The Colombian international had agreed terms with Juventus and his brother had even announced his departure online after a swap deal with Mirko Vucinic was completed.
But the deal collapsed when Inter owner Erik Thohir sensationally pulled the plug after outrage from Inter fans.
It will be very difficult for Guarin to return to the Inter fold despite assurances from teammates such as Diego Milito that he will be welcomed back.
And La Gazzetta dello Sport believes that an approach from an English club is the only viable solution for all parties.
It also suggests that a bid of around £8.2m may have already arrived from one of Manchester United, Chelsea or Tottenham.
Inter would be much more likely to sell to a foreign club as it would avoid the uproar that was created by selling to a direct rival.
Guarin has been excused from training while his situation is sorted out but he will have to return tomorrow if no transfer is made unless he can present a medical certificate explaining his absence.
