Tottenham Hotspur boss Jose Mourinho has hinted that Carlos Vinicius will be given another Premier League chance this season.
Speaking at his press conference, which was broadcast on Hayters TV, Mourinho admitted that Harry Kane’s ability is a problem for Vinicius.
However, as Tottenham are still competing in four competitions, they have a very demanding fixture list.
And Mourinho has hinted that Vinicius could come into his Premier League team between now and the end of the season.
“He has one problem. The problem is Harry Kane, it’s as simple as that. You need to be a special guy, you need to a special heart, a special mentality and feeling in relation to what you mean for the team,” Mourinho said.
“To be a striker in the same team as Harry Kane you need to be a special guy to keep yourself always motivated, always happy to have one minute, five minutes or 10 minutes or start the game.
“He is giving us what we want. In the Premier League I believe he is going to play. Because we have so many matches that Kane cannot play every match I believe. First season in the country is never easy, especially for a South American player that doesn’t speak the language.”

Vinicius’s chances have so far generally come in Europe, but Tottenham’s priorities may actually change in the coming weeks.
Spurs are struggling to keep pace with the top four, and if they continue to lag behind, then the Europa League could become their main priority.
If that is to be the case it could be that Kane is now rested for Europa League matches, with Vinicius playing in domestic games.
Vinicius has so far started just one Premier League game, and is yet to score a goal in the league – although he has hit the back of the net nine times in other competitions.
