Reiss Nelson reacted on Instagram to Matteo Guendouzi leaving Arsenal for Marseille on Tuesday.
The 22-year-old completed a loan move to the Ligue 1 side yesterday and they have the option to buy the Arsenal man, as reported by Sky Sports.
Even though the £8 million player (Sky Sports) arrived in Arsenal colours in 2018 as a highly-rated player, it wasn’t too long before he was out of the door when Mikel Arteta was handed the keys to the dugout.
Guendouzi was out on loan at Hertha Berlin last season, after a falling out with Arteta, and his relationship with the Spanish coach hasn’t changed.
On Tuesday, Guendouzi wrote a lengthy Instagram post to the Arsenal supporters.
Nelson responded to his former teammate’s post by saying: “Going to miss you bro.”
Remember a certain Serge Gnabry? Well, Arsenal fans will be fearing the same might just happen with Guendouzi here.
One thing is for sure, there is no doubting the raw ability in his legs, the aggressive nature of his game and the positive intent he has to drive forward at every opportunity with the ball.
But if he can get his mind focused then there’s no reason why he cannot get to the top of the footballing food chain.
And if he does then those who made the call to allow him to leave will live to regret it, yes, he may have attitude problems, but surely that’s where you start managing the kid to get the best out of him and get him on the right track?
