Some Arsenal fans on Twitter are responding to a cryptic tweet from Gabriel Martinelli.
The 20-year-old Brazilian sensation has posted a strange message on social media.
Martinelli, a £6 million signing by Arsenal in 2019, posted a photo of himself wearing the club’s new away jersey.
But he added an hourglass emoji to suggest that something else is set to follow.
Whether that’s news of a new contract or merely a change of shirt number remains to be seen.

The emoji used by Martinelli pretty much means ‘watch this space’ in football circles and it’ll be interesting to see what he’s actually referring to.
It seems unlikely that Arsenal are about to extend his contract because it’s only been 12 months – almost to the day – since the North Londoners handed him a new deal.
But considering his squad number is 35, it’s a bit too high for a bonafide member of Mikel Arteta’s first-team squad and maybe, just maybe, a new one is on the horizon.
