Liverpool fans are becoming convinced that Erling Haaland is going to end up at Manchester City.
SportBILD claims that Haaland has rejected Chelsea, leaving Liverpool and City among the clubs that will fight out for the Borussia Dortmund striker this summer.
However, Reds fans are far from confident of success in the pursuit of the goalscorer.
And Liverpool fans believe that Haaland is almost certain to sign for City at this point.
If City do manage to bag Haaland in the summer it will only put further pressure on Liverpool to invest to keep pace.
The devastating forward has netted with alarming regularity in the Bundesliga and is now considered one of the most fearsome strikers in Europe.
City have left Liverpool and the rest of the Premier League training in their wake this term, even without a real clinical goalscorer in their side, as Sergio Aguero hasn’t been fit.
If Pep Guardiola’s side do, therefore, sign Haaland – it would only make Liverpool’s task of catching them even more difficult next season, when Jurgen Klopp’s men will surely be determined to put up a greater fight for the title.
