Kenny Miller has claimed that ‘it’s going to be tough’ for sought-after Rangers star Joe Aribo to turn down a move to the Premier League, as he told Sky Sports.
There are suggestions that Aribo could be swapping the colours of Rangers for those of Southampton, with Miller making it clear that he is a player that ‘needs to be replaced’ if sold.
The Ibrox faithful aren’t probably happy as it is because there has been a lack of transfer activity from their side this summer, especially given they are the ones chasing Celtic next season for the title.

So, the last thing the club want to do is sell an important player without bringing anyone significant in, but that’s the way it’s seemingly headed.
Nonetheless, this is what Miller had to say regarding the talk of English Premier League side Southampton being keen on Aribo’s talents.
“He was one of a number of players, Joe, who was going to be up for speculation this summer,” said Miller. “He has a really, really good start to last season.
“He wasn’t so effective after the AFCON’s. But he still maintained a decent level of performance. He was always going to be there for potential suitors.
“He’s just a player that needs to be replaced. I am sure Rangers fans would like to see bodies coming in, rather than important bodies going out.
“But I think when the Premiership comes calling, you have one-year left on your contract, then it’s going to be tough to hold onto your main players.”

A GREAT MOVE FOR ARIBO
During Aribo’s career, he has tasted English football before with Charlton Atheltic, but this would be his first time landing in the Premier League.
On his day, the 25-year-old has the light touch and great ball-carrying ability to cause problems for the opposition, but does he has the consistency in his game to jump up to that level?
The deal for Aribo could cost £10 million if he leaves, but his name isn’t the only one being talked about as possibly heading for the exit door because there is also Alfredo Morelos and Glen Kamara.
Nonetheless, this is perhaps the right time in Aribo’s career to play at a higher level and test himself in England’s top-flight because he certainly has the magic at his feet to standout from the crowd.
