Well, it looks like Chelsea are set to win the race to sign Raphinha from Leeds United.

The Leeds winger has been linked with a lot of clubs this summer.

Tottenham, Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea have all been heavily touted to sign the Brazil international.

However, it seems like he’s off to Stamford Bridge.

According to The Athletic, the Blues are close to signing the player in what’ll be a £55 million deal.

For a long time, Liverpool were also linked with signing the former Rennes attacker, but other Premier League outfits are considered more likely and have been throughout the summer.

Here’s how Jose Enrique reacted to the prospect of him joining Thomas Tuchel’s side.

Chelsea certainlyare going to be strong as new owner Todd Boehly looks to enjoy a successful first season in West London.

However, it’s been a relatively slow start to the transfer business.

So far, the vast majority of talking points in terms of transfers by Chelsea have been outgoings, with the likes of Antonio Rudiger and Andreas Christensen leaving Stamford Bridge to join Real Madrid and Barcelona respectively.

Raphinha for £55 million would be a stunning way in which to kick off the Blues’ arrivals and it does seem a matter of when, not if, it is completed now, though Arsenal are reportedly plotting a last-gasp effort to bring him to the Emirates Stadium.
