Speaking on his YouTube channel, Alasdair Gold has been speaking about Fraser Forster and his imminent arrival at Tottenham Hotspur.
The Southampton goalkeeper has reportedly agreed to join Spurs this summer upon the expiry of his contract at St Mary’s, and according to Gold, the transfer could be announced before the weekend.
In fact, Gold says that the transfer may even be announced in the coming hours, but from what he gathers, it will be either on Thursday or Friday.
What’s been said?
Gold spoke about Forster’s incoming arrival.
“Fraser Forster, that looks like that’s going to be done now. A medical today (Wednesday), taking place at Hotspur Way. I think it might be tomorrow that it’s announced, either tomorrow or Friday, but certainly if a medical is being done today it suggests that tomorrow could be the announcement.
“Fraser Forster is an interesting one, Spurs were really keen on Sam Johnstone, a lot had been agreed on that, as much as you can without crossing any rules, but somewhere along the line something has shifted, but they’ve switched to Fraser Forster.”

Not the most exciting
Tottenham Hotspur are set to have a very exciting summer transfer window, but it looks like they’ll be starting their window with a rather low-key signing.
Indeed, Forster isn’t exactly the biggest name that Spurs will be going after this summer. He’s a 34-year-old goalkeeper who will likely be Tottenham’s back-up next season.
Spurs will be doing some major surgery to their squad this summer. They’ve just received a huge cash injection from their owners and will be spending big, but Forster on a free isn’t exactly the blockbuster signing that many fans are anticipating.
