David Moyes admitted in his pre-match press conference that it’s ‘going to be difficult’ after being asked ‘how do you prepare to play’ the likes of Harry Kane, Heung-Min Son and Gareth Bale later on today.

Tottenham will make the short trip across London to take on their bitter neighbours in a game with European places at risk.

West Ham are loving life in fifth place, whilst Spurs are sitting in ninth position, six points behind Moyes’ men and having played a game less.

Whilst Jose Mourinho has struggled to find that consistency this season, Moyes is well aware of the squad depth his opposition number has after he was asked about Tottenham’s attacking trio Kane, Son and Bale.

“I think whenever you play them it’s going to be difficult because of the quality they have,” said Moyes. “They have a great squad of players.

“They can choose from several. We saw that (in the Europa League). He was able to make six or seven changes and get through in a deep round of the Europa League.

“So, they have a strong squad. Very strong squad and we probably don’t have that size of the squad. But what we have is a good team and a good team that has been playing very well.”

For Tottenham fans, they were hoping the above trio would be firing on all cylinders right now.

Whilst two have been doing bits this season, another is still trying to get his engine going after driving back from Madrid to London in the summer.

Spurs fans have seen glimpses this term, but the Bale of old that scored that late rocket at Upton Park many, many years ago is someone who they are hoping turns up today.
