Speaking on the Seaman Says Podcast, David Seaman has been discussing Youri Tielemans amid speculation about his future at Leicester City.

The Belgian is reportedly a target for both Manchester United and Arsenal, while Fabrizio Romano has claimed that he definitely won’t be signing a new contract with the Foxes.

However, despite Romano’s claim, Seaman believes that Tielemans won’t be leaving Leicester anytime soon.

Indeed, the pundit says that Brendan Rodgers’ comments last week indicated that Tielemans won’t be heading out of the east Midlands anytime soon.

What’s Seaman said?

The pundit gave his view on Tielemans’ situation after Rodgers was asked about the midfielder.

“When he was asked, it was almost like ‘why are you asking me about that?’ So I got the feeling that he is going nowhere, so hopefully for Leicester and Leicester fans he’ll sign a new contract,” Seaman said.

Up in the air

Seaman doesn’t think that Tielemans will be leaving the Foxes anytime soon, but reputable outlets have reported otherwise.

To be honest, it’s not hard to imagine Tielemans leaving. He’s a player that is certainly good enough to play for a top six club, and with the likes of Arsenal sniffing around, he may well have his head turned.

This certainly seems to be a situation worth keeping an eye on.
