Speaking on the Wrighty’s House Podcast, Ian Wright has been previewing the north London derby and he’s made a worrying claim for his club, Arsenal.
The Gunners face Tottenham this weekend, and to say that Wright is worried about this game would be an understatement.
As ever, every fan is a bag of nerves heading into this match, and Wright isn’t feeling the most optimistic ahead of this crunch clash.
In fact, Wright even went as far as to say that Arsenal are heading into this game 1-0 down due to the fact he’s fairly sure that Harry Kane will continue his tremendous record of scoring in north London derbies.

Wright worried about Kane
The pundit gave a rather pessimistic view on Sunday’s match.
“This for me is a game in a season where Arsenal are striving. I believe we must win this game, it’s a home game, it’s against our biggest rivals. We know we’re going into this game 1-0 down because we know that Harry always scores against us. All I want is for us to start and put the pressure on and put the defence under pressure,” Wright said.
Inevitable
While football isn’t played on paper, there does feel like an air of inevitability around Harry Kane scoring in these fixtures these days.
The England captain knows where the back of the net is, and he knows how to deal with the high-pressure situation of facing off against Arsenal.
The reality is that the Gunners will struggle to stop Kane this weekend, but with the likes of Bukayo Saka, Eddie Nketia and Gabriel Martinelli in great form, there’s no reason why they can’t strike back with some firepower of their own.
