Bayern Munich’s attempts to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane in the summer transfer window could become successful in the end.
That’s according to Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg, who claims that a meeting did take place between Bayern Tottenham’s officials, with Spurs chairman Daniel Levy reportedly present at the meeting to discuss the future of Harry Kane.
Plettenberg also claims that it was a ‘good meeting’ with a ‘good atmosphere’.
It remains to be seen whether Daniel Levy, who has been a notoriously tough negotiator over the years, would be prepared to countenance the sale of one of Tottenham’s prized assets.
Despite the forward having just a year left on his contract, the North London club are sure to drive a hard bargain for the most talismanic player of the club’s history, with an astonishing 280 goals for Spurs.

Plettenberg further claims that the deal is ‘moving in the right direction’ but there remains no breakthrough in negotiations.
Kane is also aware that the two clubs have met, but whether the England international would be willing to move to Germany when he is so close to breaking the Premier League’s goalscoring record, remains to be seen.

This news comes after Bayern had seen two bids rejected for the forward’s services, with the latest reportedly an improvement on their €70 million offer.
Although Levy has consistently maintained that Kane is not for sale, he would reportedly listen to offers of £120 million.
Kane returned to pre-season training on Wednesday, where he appeared in good spirits despite the ongoing talk over his future.
The move to Bayern Munich would be the guarantee of trophies that seemingly Kane has desired.
One thing seems certain.
Acording to ESPN, Kane won’t sign a new contract with Spurs and is keen on moving to Germany.
It is sure to be an interesting transfer saga.
