Gary Neville noticed Jurgen Klopp going absolutely mad at Alisson in the 58th minute, when he choose to belt a ball long to Sadio Mane rather than playing out.

Klopp fumes

During his commentary on Sky Sports, Neville could see Klopp in the dugout and he clearly wasn’t pleased with his goalkeeper’s decision making.

Rather than keeping possession, the 29-year-old Brazilian opted to belt the ball up the pitch, only for Tottenham’s Davinson Sanchez to easily outmuscle Mane and run away with the ball.

Klopp clearly did not like watching his side give the ball away so cheaply.

And Alisson felt the full wrath of his manager after his pass went awry.

“Just watching Jurgen Klopp in the technical area and he’s going absolutely mad at Alisson for that kick,” Neville said.

Up and down game

Alisson actually had a rather odd game in the 2-2 draw.

Liverpool were hugely grateful for him for making three quite brilliant saves.

He first thwarted Heung-Min Son, before he then went on to deny both Dele Alli and Harry Kane.

However, for all his brilliance, Alisson was completely at fault for Son’s equaliser.

He charged off his line only to miss cue his clearance, which allowed Son to pass the ball into an open goal.

Klopp did stick up for his goalkeeper after the match, suggesting that Alisson had saved them so many times by being so active at coming off his line that he couldn’t be critical.

But the Liverpool boss is likely to be secretly frustrated with the mistake, as the draw meant that they lost ground on Manchester City at the top of the Premier League table.
