Arnaut Danjuma has suggested on his Instagram story that he enjoyed his time at Tottenham Hotspur last season because of the fans.

In January, the 26-year-old was supposed to make a loan move to Everton, only for Tottenham Hotspur, and then-manager Antonio Conte, to swoop in at the last minute and take him away from the frustrated Toffees.

In the end, Arnaut Danjuma probably hoped that he did move to Everton instead because, despite scoring on his Tottenham debut, he only made one start.

Not long after joining, the London club sacked Antonio Conte as they proceeded to slide down the table in dramatic fashion.

From losing at home to Arsenal and that morale-sapping defeat to Newcastle United, it was going wrong all over the pitch.

Nonetheless, via his Instagram story on Tuesday night, Arnaut Danjuma was asked by a fan ‘Did you enjoy your time at Spurs?’ and he issued the following response.

“That goes without saying because of the support from the fans,” said Danjuma.

Danjuma trying to help struggling Everton

There is no bitterness from Danjuma about his time at Tottenham and how he should have earned more minutes given the club’s struggles when he went in, and it seems as though Everton have now forgotten about his actions from January.

From his six Premier League games, he has scored one goal, during his side’s 2-2 draw at Sheffield United, as he continues to warm up his engine under Sean Dyche.

When Danjuma starts to roll, added with the likes of Dominic Calvert-Lewin around him staying fit and building an on-field relationship, then fans will see the best of him because there is a high-quality talent in there.
