Michael Owen and Gary Lineker have both suggested that they are still unconvinced about reported Liverpool target Vinicius Junior on BT Sport.
Vinicius actually scored twice against Liverpool for Real Madrid in midweek, as Jurgen Klopp’s side lost 3-1.
But the Brazilian hasn’t always reached those heights this season.
And Owen and Lineker’s comments suggest that Liverpool should be wary of pushing on with their reported interest in the 20-year-old.
Owen said: “You watch him sometimes and think ‘wow, what a player’ and then sometimes you think he goes missing.”
And Lineker responded: “His finishing has been poor in the games I’ve seen [and I’ve seen] a lot of them.”
It is Diario Madridista who said two months ago that Liverpool are still watching the winger.

Owen’s and Lineker’s comments about his finishing may add up too, given the youngster’s goalscoring tally this season.
Vinicius may have scored twice against Liverpool in midweek, but he had only hit the back of the net on four occasions before that.
And even though Liverpool may want another attacker this summer, their money may be better off spent on a more proven forward, if they are wanting an immediate impact.
