‘God that’s brilliant’: Leeds fans lose it over what club have tweeted

Leeds United’s social media manager won the internet last night.

During Aston Villa’s 0-0 draw with Sheffield United, the Blades looked to have a perfectly legitimate goal ruled out.

Orjan Nyland appeared to take the ball behind the line in the Villa goal, but referee Michael Oliver missed it and worse yet, so did Hawkeye.

The person in charge of Leeds’ Twitter content posted a gif of Judge Judy and called for ‘FairPlay’ in reference to a madcap game against the Villans at Elland Road 14 months ago.

The Whites’ boss Marcelo Bielsa instructed his players to let Villa score an uncontested equaliser following a dubious opener by Mateusz Klich.

Bielsa earned widespread praise for the sporting nature of that gesture, as well as a Fair Play award from FIFA.
