Manchester City fans have provided a mixed reaction to the transfer rumours that they want to sign Aston Villa’s star man Jack Grealish.

The Independent claims that Pep Guardiola, who signed a new two-year contract at the Etihad, wants to revamp his squad and he sees Grealish as an integral piece he wants to target in rebuilding his previously successful jigsaw.

Grealish played against Kevin de Bruyne during the international break when his Belgium side beat England 2-0 during their UEFA Nations League encounter.

It is said that De Bruyne had a word in his manager’s ear about Grealish’s talents after he wowed on his first competitive start for his country.

But the noise coming from the Man City faithful regarding this news is pretty mixed, with some keen on the left-sided playmaker, whilst others are put off by the potentially huge price-tag.

Grealish just signed a new five-year contract at Villa Park, so it’s going to take something special to prize him away from his boyhood club.

Man City fans acknowledge that and some feel that will be a stumbling block if they push for his signature next summer.

In truth, the better Grealish performs, the louder the talk gets about his future, but for years that has happened and he’s still in B6, and to be honest, he’ll still probably be wowing his Villa fans next season.

Nonetheless, here is a selection of Man City fans reacting to the Grealish rumours:
