Tottenham Hotspur fans have reacted to the managerial rumour surrounding, Frank Lampard.
Ian McGarry from the Transfer Window Podcast has claimed that Lampard may be open to managing Tottenham, even though he is a Chelsea legend.
The former midfielder was sacked by the Stamford Bridge club earlier on in the season, in what was deemed to be in a ruthless fashion, at the time.
But given the impact Thomas Tuchel has had in West London, it’s been pretty clear that the right choice was made.
Well, with Spurs being the second London club this season to part ways with their manager – another Chelsea man in Jose Mourinho – it’s pretty clear they don’t want another, who has previously worn blue, to come over to their side.
It would be the surprise of all surprises if Lampard landed on Tottenham’s doorstep, and whilst it seems unlikely, whoever saw Mourinho becoming Spurs manager one day?
But the main difference between Mourinho and Lampard is that the former has had a trophy-laden coach, so that appeal will always be there.
And whilst Lampard was one of the Premier League’s greats as a player, his managerial career has hit the rocks.
