Arsenal claimed a huge 3-1 win over north London rivals Tottenham, and Emile Smith Rowe was one of the many stars of the show.
The Hale End academy graduate scored the opening goal of the afternoon before assisting Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang for the second. The Gunners were 3-0 up after just 34 minutes as they put Spurs to the sword.
It was an incredible first-half display from Mikel Arteta’s side, yet it was Smith Rowe who was the real hero for Arsenal against Tottenham. The playmaker started out on the left wing with Martin Odegaard taking the no. 10 role.
Indeed, it was a performance that many Arsenal fans will remember for a very long time. Smith Rowe impressed midweek against AFC Wimbledon, but this performance against Tottenham was on another level.
The midfielder is regarded as one of the most exciting talents coming through at Arsenal.
And with Smith Rowe inheriting the number 10 shirt for this season, the club have put some huge expectations on the youngster’s shoulders.
