Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Alex Pritchard was vital in Brentford’s win against Bournemouth this weekend.
Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Alex Pritchard put in a truly wonderful performance for loan club Brentford this weekend.
The 21-year-old has consistently impressed for the Championship side since his temporary switch from White Hart Lane, scoring six goals and providing five assists prior to his latest outing.
Against Bournemouth, Pritchard showed just what he is capable of, scoring one, setting up another and generally dictating the play.
He made a total of six key passes to set up goal-scoring opportunities for his teammates, while his passing accuracy of 76 per cent showed he is an impressive midfield option for Tottenham in the near future despite his age.
| Goals | Goal Assists | Key Passes | On-target Shooting Accuracy | Duels Won | Dribbles | Interceptions Won | Passing Accuracy | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Alex Pritchard | 1 | 1 | 6 | 50% | 8 | 5 | 1 | 76% | 90 |
He also showed the more fiery side of his play, winning eight duels and one interception, while he also went on five dribbles and hit the target with half his efforts on goal.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino has shown this season that if you are good enough you are old enough, with Nabil Bentaleb, Harry Kane, Ryan Mason and Eric Dier all impressing at White Hart Lane.
And at this rate, Pritchard could be the next to make a name for himself in North London, because after a performance like the one he gave on Saturday, it would take a stubborn or a foolish manager to not pay attention.
