Some Leeds United fans on social media have been reacting after the club tweeted that Jamie Shackleton had won the pre-season bleep test.
Leeds are known to be one of the fittest squads in the Premier League, so a pre-season bleep test is bound to be incredibly competitive.
However, despite the fact the likes of Raphinha and Stuart Dallas were taking part in the fitness test, Shackleton won.
At the age of just 21, Shackleton looks to be one of the fittest players in Marcelo Bielsa’s squad, and as you can imagine, Leeds fans had plenty to say about this update from training.
Some fans were buzzing to see Shackleton bossing it in training, while some more pessimistic Leeds fans expressed frustration that he’s not had many chances to play Premier League football over the past 12 months.
Perhaps this pre-season result is the start of Shackleton’s push for more first-team minutes this term.
