Rangers defender Fabio Cardoso could be leaving Ibrox.
Rangers have mostly focused on incomings this summer, but they may also need to move players on before the transfer deadline next month.
The Gers have brought in a whopping 10 signings this sumner, as Allan McGregor, Jon Flanagan, Connor Goldson, Nikola Katic, Scott Arfield, Lassana Coulibaly, Ovie Ejaria, Jamie Murphy, Ryan Kent and Umar Sadiq have all arrived.
New manager Steven Gerrard has managed to offload a number of players, with Bruno Alves, Carlos Pena, Jason Holt, Michael O’Halloran, Harry Forrester and Eduardo Herrera among those to leave.
Few players of the Pedro Caixinha summer of madness remain just one year on, though one player with no future under Gerrard does remain, with Fabio Cardoso still at Ibrox.
The Portuguese defender was a key signing for Caixinha last summer, arriving from Vitoria Setubal to partner Bruno Alves, with many predicting him for a bright future.
However, the 24-year-old struggled to make an impact in Scottish football, and made just four appearances in all competitions following Caixinha’s sacking in October.
Despite the fact that Gerrard isn’t blessed with a raft of options at centre back, Cardoso has been cast aside, and one conversation on Twitter this weekend hinted that he could be on his way.
Cardoso posted a tweet with a raised hands emoji, and teammate Josh Windass responded by telling him to go and prove people wrong, suggesting that he has a chance to play elsewhere, with Daniel Candeias only adding to the hints by suggesting that he will be happy and play a lot soon.
