Speaking on his YouTube channel, Express journalist, Ryan Taylor, has been discussing Arsenal’s hunt for a new winger and Moussa Diaby.
It’s been reported for quite some time now that the north London club are in the market for a new wide player, with Mykhaylo Mudryk reportedly the club’s top target.
Taylor said in this video that Mudryk is indeed right at the top of the Gunners’ list heading into January, but he says that some alternative targets have been lined up too.
Pedro Neto and Yeremy Pino were mentioned, while Taylor says that Bayer Leverkusen winger Moussa Diaby has also received glowing praise from the club’s recruitment team.

Arsenal like Diaby
Taylor shared what he knows about Arsenal’s search for a winger.
“Arsenal have long wanted a winger. In the summer they looked at Pedro Neto who was the priority target. There were others that remain of interest, Villarreal’s Yeremy Pino and Bayer Leverkusen’s Moussa Diaby. They have been scouted and have received glowing praise from Arsenal’s recruitment team. They fit Edu’s model in that they’re young, they have potential and they have experience in Europe,” Taylor said.
Gettable
Diaby is a player that has been linked with the Premier League for quite some time now.
Newcastle United were very keen in the summer, but Diaby decided to stay at Bayer Leverkusen after a very successful 2021/22 season and have another crack at winning some silverware with the German club.
However, Leverkusen have faltered this year, and it’s fair to say that Diaby may now be considering his future once more. Especially if the Premier League leaders come calling.
Diaby is clearly on the list alongside the likes of Mudryk, Pino and Neto, but it remains to be seen how high on that list he actually is.
