Glenn Middleton took to Twitter to comment after Rangers’ development side picked up another impressive win on Wednesday, while a number of Gers fans responded to his message by expressing their excitement about his future at Ibrox.

With the events during and following the Scottish Cup semi-final probably leaving many Rangers fans looking forward to the summer when they will be hoping for major changes at various levels of the club, they undoubtedly needed something of a boost.

And after the game, Middleton took to social media to comment on the win, praise his teammates and express his delight at setting up another goal, having bagged two himself in a recent fixture.

Unsurprisingly given that his name seems to crop up every time Rangers’ development side play, there appears to be a buzz growing around Middleton with a number of fans excited about what he could achieve during his time with the Gers.

And in response to his message on Twitter, several supporters suggested that he is knocking on the first-team door with his current form – and after Sunday’s result at Hampden Park, it is difficult to suggest that they are wrong at all.

Here is how some of the supporters responded…
