Glasgow Rangers youngster Glenn Middleton scored the winner in the Ibrox side’s development team’s latest win.

Glenn Middleton has taken to Twitter to express his delight after Rangers’ development squad beat Utrecht 3-2 on Saturday, while he also commented on today’s Old Firm game.
Middleton – a January signing from Norwich City – saw his stock rise once again on Saturday as the Gers got the better of the team led by former Ibrox hero Michael Mols.

The Light Blues’ youngsters made it three wins in a row, and it was Middleton who ensured that the Gers would be celebrating a victory. Andrew Dallas and Stephen Kelly had both got onto the scoresheet as the game reached its latter stages locked at 2-2 when Zak Rudden’s cross found Middleton at the back post.
The youngster smashed home a first-time shot to bag the winner and perhaps send a little message to first-team boss Graeme Murty regarding his future prospects at Ibrox.

And after the game, the starlet took to social media to express his delight at the win and the fact that he scored the winning goal as the development side continued their impressive run of recent form.
He also alluded to the fact that the attention absolutely switches to later today when Celtic travel to Ibrox looking to maintain their recent unbeaten record against Rangers. Certainly, if the game plays out like the under-20s’ win did, the celebrations at Auchenhowie on Saturday will be nothing compared to the frenzy inside Ibrox.
