According to Sky Bet, Glenn Hoddle is the third favourite to replace Graeme Murty as the Rangers manager at the end of the season.
The chances of the Tottenham Hotspur legend taking charge of the Ibrox club in the summer are rated as 5/1.
Given that Hoddle has not managed a club since 2006, it will come as a surprise if he takes the Rangers job – but if he does, then it will be sensational for the Gers and for Scottish football in general.
The 60-year-old is one of the best footballers to have ever played the game, and has been in charge of the England national football team, Tottenham and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the past.
One of the biggest names in British football, the appointment of Hoddle, who had a very distinguished playing career, as the Rangers manager would overshadow the arrival of Brendan Rodgers at Celtic in the summer of 2016.
There is no doubt that Rodgers is the best football manager in the Scottish Premiership at the moment and has been a huge success since he was appointed the Celtic boss in the summer of 2016.
Hoddle, though, is a much bigger name, and is hugely respected in the footballing community.
