Glenn Hoddle said on BT Sport 2 (8:10pm, November 26, 2020) that he would like to see the best of Tottenham Hotspur winger Gareth Bale in the next few games.

The former Tottenham star, who now works as a pundit for BT Sport, believes that it is time that Bale, who returned to the North London club on loan from Spanish and European giants Real Madrid in the summer of 2020, turns on the style.

Hoddle made the comments while co-commentating on the Europa League game between Tottenham and Ludogorets Razgrad at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Thursday evening.

The Englishman said about Bale in the 10th minute of the game on BT Sport 2 (8:10pm, November 26, 2020): “I think it’s time really in the next few games for us to see the real Gareth Bale.”

How did Gareth Bale play against Ludogorets Razgrad?

Bale started for Tottenham against Ludogorets and played for 68 minutes, as the North London club won 4-0.

The Wales international had an average game in terms of productivity, as he could not do much of note with his free kicks and should have done better with a chance early in the second half.

However, Bale did look very lively and fitter, as he tried to make things happen for Spurs.

According to WhoScored, the 31-year-old took seven shots of which one was on target, had a pass accuracy of 85.7%, won one header, took 54 touches, attempted two dribbles, made one tackle and one interception, and put in five crosses.
